What is the purpose of the role?

We are seeking a wastewater asset data improvement lead to work on a 1-year fixed term basis to support our wastewater asset validation project. Supporting a defined geographical area, you're going to take ownership of and facilitate the reviews of the asset data on our wastewater sites engaging with the field teams. This role focuses on validating the asset data which will allow cost efficient operations and maintenance of the asset base to minimise the whole life cost of asset ownership.

What makes this role unique?

You will work with a great team, taking ownership of the quality of the wastewater asset data within the system. Proactive data quality monitoring and identifying improvements that will need to be made in an ongoing programme will also be part of the role.

What will this role involve?

Manage the schedule of sites that need to be reviewed; engage with operational teams and validate the existing asset data.

Carry out a number of site based reviews and compare actual data with the data already held on the company system.

Work with the wider Work & Asset Information team to ensure effective implementation of large volume data changes and ensure maintenance of data quality through rigorous change management.

Work with relevant stakeholders to complete the review template and identifying any equipment which is not detailed in SAP and validate the changes to prepare the data for input.

Providing advice and support about the asset and work data to assist in how we shape our approach to planning and delivering effective maintenance plans.

Identify common issues discovered whilst carrying out the data reviews in order to improve best practice and data governance.

Communicate to local teams the importance of the data captured in the system, the implications if the data is incorrect/out of date and how to provide updates to the Work & Asset Information team

Do you have an intermediate knowledge of Excel and are comfortable with data capture?

Do you have the ability to take ownership and use your initiative?

We are seeking an individual with experience in waste water treatment with the ability to work in a project environment.

A strong background in either Mechanical, Electrical or ICA (ME&I) is an advantage.

You will work well under pressure to strict deadlines, and have an analytical approach.

An ability to effectively build stakeholder relationships is essential, along with the ability to influence others to provide the information required meeting the project deadlines.

You will be proficient in MS Office and have an excellent eye for detail.

This role involves working at multiple sites and therefore a full driving licence and use of own vehicle is necessary.

Mileage will be paid as per company policy. MS Access and SAP PM knowledge is advantageous but training will be provided.

Thames Water information and salary details

There are 3 roles available; 1 based at Maple Lodge STW which covers the Thames Valley, 1 based at Oxford STW which covers the north region and 1 based at Hockford STW which covers the south region. We are offering a salary of up to 32k, depending on experience and qualifications.
