What is the purpose of the role?
This is a key role within Wholesale Market Services, the function that leads engagement with the Retail market. The data project manager delivers revenue, customer service and market compliance outcomes by managing the resolution of data issues generated by market systems and processes.
What makes this role unique?
Driven by the new Retail market which opened in April 2017, wholesale market services is at the forefront of developing new capability and approaches to customer service and revenue management. Operating in the market environment continues to generate a wide range of data issues for which we need to improve visibility, control and delivery. You will be at the heart of this new approach seeking to ensure we are tackling the issues and improving all aspects of our performance.
What will this role involve?
Establishing an escalation process to ensure new issues are logged and tracked.
Establishing a clear baselined and change controlled plan and tracking progress of all outstanding issues through to confirmed resolution against this plan.
Managing a range of meetings necessary to ensure prioritisation, ownership and resourcing of issues to be tackled.
The production of weekly and monthly reports on all aspects of actual and planned progress and performance.
Working with other business units including Retail Household and the TTA to ensure a joined up reporting and delivery approach across the business.
What are we looking for?
The successful candidate will have good project and/or programme management experience with a track record of successful delivery. They must have good organisational skills and be a robust and effective communicator who is comfortable delivering though others. The candidate will have strong commercial awareness, excellent relationship management skills and financial acumen, with the ability to make logical and well thought out decisions. Demonstrable and excellent project management and track record for delivery to deadlines are essential. You will have excellent IT and first class communication skills.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role is based in Central Reading at our Reading Bridge House offices and the salary offered is up to £46,000 depending on your experience.
