What is the purpose of the role?

As part of the wholesale reporting team this role is actively involved in managing the development and production of key business performance reports and KPI's, working across the wholesale business at all levels. This role is instrumental in contributing to the team's performance reporting and the development of new reporting capabilities. You'll ensure the escalation of adverse performance is actively promoted and deliver some of the key wholesale water and wholesale wastewater reporting packs.

This role will involve interacting with senior managers giving you the opportunity to stretch your communication skills presenting complex information in a meaningful format. You will deliver key business information to managers in wholesale water and wholesale wastewater to help them meet their operational performance commitments, and customer services objectives.

What will this role involve?

In this role you'll report on progress against key schemes which contribute to the delivery of our outcomes and gather commentary on any variances to expected levels and communicate these with senior managers in the business.

You will also be a data provider for key pieces of information which feed the Ofwat cost models and determine the level of financing the company receives in future periods for improving infrastructure.

You'll maintain the quality and accuracy of data ensuring all reports you produce are kept fit for purpose.

Implement reporting governance and develop new reporting capabilities. Help to identify operational risks and recommend mitigation.

Engage with key teams/people in the business to ensure numbers are accurate and auditable.

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate for this role will ideally have previous line management experience, excellent IT skills with experience in the use of Business Objects, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SAP. You will have excellent attention to detail, good communication skills and have a proactive, professional approach. Ideally you will have working knowledge of key external (Ofwat/DWI/EA) and internal targets/measures and the business processes these relate to. The ability to develop a wide-ranging working knowledge of business processes, both Water and Waste and in relation to both infrastructure and non-infrastructure is key. Good interpersonal skills are essential to the role in order to communicate with and influence senior stakeholders.

The role is based at our offices at our Head office in Reading, Berkshire. We are offering up to 40,000 depending on your level of experience.
