What is the purpose of the role?

You will be responsible for providing expert technical support to operational teams, maintaining regulatory compliance and meeting internal business targets. As part of this team you will be expected to undertake activities such as water quality monitoring from the source to service reservoir, investigating water quality failures or events at company assets and providing recommendations to both internal and external departments on corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. You will also be responsible for providing technical support to production, network and capital delivery schemes in order to ensure that water quality requirements are met and undertaking out-of-hours technical support.

What will this role involve?

Supply and analyse information to satisfy complex needs of the team and/or external clients, provide explanation or commentary.

Design and deliver an element of a technical solution and assist the team to implement it successfully.

Identify developments in the relevant technical specialism that may improve the business, and suggest initiatives to the team and/or line manager.

Coach and support others in own area of expertise.

Represent the Company in meeting with stakeholders to build awareness externally, regulate their activities or maintain the reputation of the TW brand.

What are we looking for?

The successful candidate would ideally have a HNC or degree (or equivalent) in a scientific or engineering discipline. Experience in water treatment processes, supply or regulation would also be beneficial but not essential. Ideally you will also have experience of working with Sample Manager, EQUIS and SAP IT systems. Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are also key to this role as you will be liaising with internal stakeholders on a day to day basis. Travel to other sites is required as a major part of this role thus a full driving license is essential. The ability to work in a logical and analytical manner and be able to maintain a positive and professional approach when dealing with customers is also essential.

This role will be based at Walton Wtw and is offering a salary of 29,000-35,000 depending on experience. Travel is required so a driving license is essential.
