What is the purpose of the role?
As Change Lead your primary focus will be the successful deployment of business change.
Drive high adoption; acceptance and effectiveness of changes that impact Thames employees.
Support the Project Manager to ensure change initiatives meet objectives on time, within budget and in line with agreed success criteria.
Act as an advocate for change to ensure a smooth transition by following the Thames Water project framework, from change initiation through to deployment

What will this role involve?
You will support Programme/Project Manager to define and complete each phase of the change initiative and associated tasks from initiation to full deployment.
Define and agree critical success factors to monitor change progress. You will assess, monitor and drive business readiness and transition activities to ensure the change seamlessly lands in the business whilst ensuring impact to customers is kept to a minimum during key transitional periods.
You will work with Operational Managers and teams to define, design and deploy change effectively.
Maintain excellent relationships with Operational Teams to gain trust and respect through working in partnership to deliver benefits.
Create actionable deliverables for the five change management levers: communications plan, sponsor roadmap, coaching plan, training plan, resistance management plan.
Apply structured methodologies to support adoption of changes.
Build and manage positive relationships with key stakeholders across the programme and business, identify and manage anticipated resistance, and provide coaching where necessary to drive successful delivery.
Support communication efforts; support design, development, delivery and management of communication plans and supporting documentation.
Engage key stakeholders to ensure they understand what is required of them to enable a successful delivery (i.e. attendance or input at requirements gathering workshops or user testing).
Support the Programme / Project to assess change impact by conducting required impact analyses, assess change readiness and champion business readiness activities.
Work with key stakeholders to identify training and development needs and arrange and support subsequent training activities.
Proactively support the test phase; review strategy, scripts and results to identify business resource to support the testing and execution end to end.
Support the business with the change post go live to realise and embed the project and business deliverables to an agreed state which will feed into formal closure of the project.
What are we looking for?
You will be known to have outstanding verbal and written communication skills; able to cut through complexity and simplify, with excellent attention to detail and active listening skills. You are good at critical thinking and analytical skills - and will be able to show an ability of analysing KPI and operational data to target change improvements. You will be known to have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels across the business and proactively network. Previous roles you have been able to have the initiative to develop solutions and facilitate resolution actions and deliver on time within demanding schedules. You can demonstrate familiarity with project management methodologies, tools and lifecycles. You will have the knowledge of change management tools & techniques. You are known to be well organised with a good inclination for strategic and tactical planning and execution. You will be flexible and resilient; able to work in ambiguous situations; engage hands-on to get stuff done; flexible in location and at times hours worked to get projects across the line. You will be able to work collaboratively in a complex and high change environment across the team and business. Desirable but not essential: Certificate in Managing Change, PRINCE2

We have roles based in our offices in central Reading and central Swindon with a salary range from £35700 to £48300 dependant on experience
