What is the purpose of the role?

You will be responsible for making sure that the technicians within the team have all the equipment in place so they can carry out their work in a safe and efficient manner. Identifying solutions to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction. This is within a defined geographical area of South London.

What will this role involve?

Responsible for planning work via SAP and making sure that the relevant skill sets are scheduled in and coordinated.

Ensure key maintenance operations are created and planned to allow the reactive jobs to be completed first time. This may include engagement with internal and external stakeholders.

Make sure all tools and materials are made available in order for work to be completed.

Making sure the costs are within budget.

Responsibility for the understanding of health & safety requirements of jobs.

Coordinating permits and TWOSAs (organisational safety authorisation), making sure documentation is submitted and reviewed in advance complying with all relevant health and safety requirements.

Proactively seek to understand asset care plans and asset criticality.

Working with suppliers to deliver the work on time and within budget.

Provide technical assistance and guidance to existing technicians.

What are we looking for?

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience within maintenance and/or within the water industry. The roll will involve needing to be highly logical and collaborative as you will need to be able to work closely with planners, field performance managers, suppliers and 3rd parties. Being technically experienced with a good understanding of how to maintain assets will be advantageous to the roll as would electrical experience. Being meticulous at documenting the finer details of what needs to take place, being able to manage your work under pressure. Strong communication skills and good decision making abilities along with being competent with IT systems is key. Clean driving licence is essential as the role involves travelling.

This role is based at Greenwich Storm SPS in London and is offering a salary of up to 35k depending on skills and experience.
