What is the purpose of the role?

This is an exciting role at Thames Water where you will be responsible for working closely with the network performance project manager as well as with a variety of internal stakeholders and business areas, to support and put in place a range of measures and metrics across a range of water network projects. You will be tasked with supporting the project manager in a range of areas from pulling together project performance reports, note taking at key project meetings as well as tracking project budgets and ensuring all project reporting is fit for purpose.

What will this role involve?

Working in collaboration and supporting the performance project manager, you will support in issuing monthly performance packs to identify business delivery against the water networks’ wider performance plan.

Your day to day responsibilities will include: Supporting the project manager on all water network projects.

Collating statistical information on business performance to contribute to insightful analysis that the business can use to further improve water network performance.

Tracking budgets and performance progress against business plan.

Attending and note taking at key, critical project meetings.

Ensure all reports presented to the board and wider business are fit for purpose and accurate.

Support with the development of monthly performance packs.

What are we looking for?

To be considered, you must be a passionate and enthusiastic individual looking to further develop your project management skills. Previous experience in a highly demanding and coordination focussed role, is crucial. If you have gained experience in the construction, logistics or water industry this would be highly advantageous but not essential. This role would be perfect for junior project managers or individuals who have a wealth of managing multiple conflicting priorities. You will have supported or managed a range of programmes and must be exceptionally organised. Strong communication and influencing skills are also highly desirable. You will be confident with IT systems and Microsoft Office packages, preferably with a competence with Excel. Demonstrable experience in working towards tight deadlines whilst meeting high levels of quality is also key to succeed.

Thames Water information and salary details

This role is offering a salary of 27,000 - 30,000 depending on skills and experience. It will be based from our head office, Clearwater Court, in Reading.
