What is the purpose of the role?
The Inventory Operations and Supply Management team are the custodians of mobile equipment and critical stock held at our distribution centres and business resilience hubs. Operating on a 24/7 -365 basis in order to provide a distribution and equipment service to support the Thames Water business. As Inventory & Supply Performance Lead you will be required to capture and provide real time performance on the respective areas within the Inventory & Supply Management team. You will need to ensure that you have the data feeds from the respective Inventory & Supply Management teams to enable the creation of real-time reporting, performance against service levels, performance against benefit delivery and gap analysis to ensure that we are responding and delivering on time and in full in order to deliver excellent customer service.

What will this role involve?
As the Inventory & Supply Performance Lead you will:
Provide management reports and presentations, collecting and analysing complex technical data with expert commentary, advice and recommendations, as appropriate for the Inventory & Supply Management scorecard.
Create and maintain statistical and financial records for each of the respective Inventory & Supply Management teams.
Ensure that quality performance data is available in a timely fashion which will provide a view on performance and opportunities to address areas of under-performance.
Ensure Health & Safety requirements are met within Company and legal frameworks.
In addition to these duties, you may be required to undertake other duties in line with the needs of the business, where appropriate training provided
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an individual with relevant experience within Water or Waste or comparable experience including logistics and/or prerequisite management at another Water Utility. You must technically experience with a good understanding of Logistics and Warehousing. You must also be meticulous at documenting the finer details of what needs to take place. You will have excellent communication skills and in addition be competent with IT systems including SAP and Inventory Management. You will have good decision making abilities and must be able to manage a large work load of numerous jobs in parallel.
Thames Water information and salary details
This role will be based at ourClearwater Court offices in Reading. We are offering a salary of circa £30,000 depending on experience.
