What is the purpose of the role?

We are on the lookout for an experienced Marketing Executive to join our team in Reading, Berkshire on a FTC to cover maternity leave for up to 12 months. The successful candidate will implement our core marketing communications, working as part of campaigns team to support the marketing manager to deepen customer relationships, achieve business targets and improve brand perceptions. This role will be to develop campaigns that will bring to life how Thames Water is building a better future for our customers. The campaigns will inform and engage customers to help drive NPS and consequently support our customer behaviour change programmes. A key element to this role is delivering campaigns and educational content to school age children through our schools education programme. This role is for someone who is customer-focused, creative and capable of delivering multi-channel campaigns. At the heart of this role is the ability to leverage all available channels and resources, to deliver on brand key messages.

What will this role involve?

The Marketing Campaigns Manager will:

Support the execution and delivery of the marketing plans in line with company objectives.

Deliver all aspects of the programme including briefing and working closely with our creative agency; media agency; internal brand and design team; digital team; suppliers; internal stakeholders and customers.

Creation and publication of online and offline marketing materials in line with marketing plans.

Deliver marketing materials to support the wider business to achieve their targets including flood reduction and water efficiency.

Ensure strong relationships and deliver an in-house marketing service.

Work closely with the marketing team and external agencies to ensure all campaigns are aligned and integrated, overlapping messages where appropriate and leveraging other initiatives, projects and channels where possible.

Measure and report on the effectiveness of marketing communications outcomes to ensure value for money and inform future activity.

Marketing budget management.

Be flexible in sharing duties as part of the wider Marketing team.

You will be required to work a 36 hour week across Monday to Friday 09:00 and 17:00.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for a degree educated, professional with good relevant experience in marketing and communications gained either client or agency side. You will need plenty of initiative, commercial focus and be a champion for our customers. As well as this you will have excellent interpersonal skills and strong project management skills. You will also be metrics driven with strong reporting skills to ensure our communications are effective and achieve the outcomes we need.

Thames Water information and salary details

This role is based in our Head office in Reading, Berkshire. We are offering a salary of up to 33,000 depending on experience. This is a FTC covering maternity leave.
