What you will be doing

Our Learning & Development Advisor primary role is to provide the L&D function with visibility across a range of business functions including, Budget, Audit & Risk Management, Data, and Reporting, Policies and Standards.  

The role will include facilitating requests and asks of the L&D function whether that is for access to training budget, data on performance, or actions relating to risks audit. 

 It will require working closely with stakeholders across the business to collate current data, identify how such information is currently shared, and then where possible identify more efficient ways of delivering the data to allow better business processes and decision making. 

The role will be site-based at Wraysbury Reservoir and will support the Controller of Premises (COP) of Wraysbury in the day-to-day operations of the Wraysbury site including managing access and utilisation of the learning facilities. 

We’re looking for you to demonstrate:

⦁ Comprehensive understanding and application of Excel, including graphic visualisation of core data.  Formula’s, pivot tables, etc. 
⦁ Understanding of Power BI capability and application.
⦁ Solution and outcome-driven with a strong business perspective
⦁ Excellent organisational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
⦁ Excellent interpersonal skills and commitment to customer and end-user experience. 
⦁ Ability to meet deadlines with a high level of problem-solving skills.
⦁ Be teamwork-oriented with demonstrated experience working in a collaborative team environment.
⦁ Growth mindset, continually searching for ways to improve efficiency and quality of the service we provide as a team.
⦁ Strong IT skills, including the use of MS Excel, Word Visio, and PowerPoint.
⦁ Confident in the ability to use digital tools to create long-lasting solutions that drive forward the productivity of yourself, your team, and Thames Water.
⦁ Responsible for keeping yourself and others healthy and safe every day at work.​
