What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll be working with state-of-the-art ICP-OES and -MS instrumentation to help deliver the best results of the samples we collect to ensure we get the best for our customers, environment, and organisms within the basins we protect. As well as using these systems we use traditional methods of testing which keeps your skills energetic and constantly developing
  • You’ll be working in fast-paced, bright award-winning laboratories alongside fellow analysts at all levels you can work alongside to get results. But you will also gain huge achievement in working on your own to gain results and have a difference.
  • Working alongside highly talented team managers and team leaders to work with the progression scheme in place to be able to help develop you into the senior analysts of the future with the Thames Water Laboratories.
  • Develop your skills and become an expert in the Metals section
  • You’ll be working with quality management systems to ISO 17025 and automated data handling 

We’re looking for you to

  • Have previous experience working in a laboratory or be a holder of a related Science degree or have an A-Level in a science-related subject and a grade B/6 in Maths GCSE
  • Follow strict instructions and guidelines to produce, record, maintain and verify data within a highly regulated UKAS accredited Laboratory
  • Have our customers at the heart of everything you do and value being part of a team to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Be comfortable carrying out repetitive work and have a real passion for working in a laboratory
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve both yourself and processes and will be comfortable in putting your ideas forward
