What you will be doing?

We currently have opportunities for Pumping Efficiency Specialists to join the team to work on existing and emerging opportunities. Investigations can begin with a response to poor asset performance data, unexplained power consumption increases or innovative ideas for alternative ways of working that can deliver efficiency. Consequently, a history of data analytical or mechanical/energy experience will be required. 

The Operational Excellence team works in collaboration with operational teams to identify, assess and enable improvements that reduce operational expenditure with a focus upon four “pillars”: - Power, Chemicals, Materials, and Commercial, with effective use of data underpinning decision making.

This role involves traveling to other sites. The role covers TV & London, Travel could be to any Thames Water site.

We are looking for you to:

  • Have mechanical experience with pumps, motors, and other process assets
  • Have experience in undertaking cost-benefit analysis and producing recommendations
  • Have project management experience for internally and externally delivered capital work
  • Have power/energy experience within a similar assets-based industry
  • Have analytical skills, able to identify trends and variances within complex data sources
