The Salesforce Development Manager is pivotal in overseeing the technical delivery and coordination of Salesforce-related activities across both Projects and Product Teams within the Retail division. This role ensures that all teams are adequately equipped with the necessary resources, tools, and processes to effectively deliver both product updates and incident releases into the production environment. In addition to team support, this position plays a crucial role in assisting the Salesforce Platform Lead in executing the strategic roadmap.
What you’ll be doing as a Salesforce Development Manager
- Manage the Salesforce Team members, focusing on their wellbeing and personal development
- Engage with all internal and external stakeholders to understand business requirements, plan and manage deliverables and communicate about delivery costs
- Collaborate with Portfolio Leads and architecture teams to build Platform Roadmaps and plan delivery
- Coordinate dependencies across the Product and Engineering teams and other digital teams to ensure smooth project progression
- Collaborate with Project Managers and cost code owners to forecast expenses and track actual spend, ensuring adherence to the allocated budget provision
- Provide mentoring and cross-training using your expertise to enhance the capabilities of others. Maintain technical engineering standards, addressing any shortcomings promptly

- Significant experience demonstrating leadership and management experience in Salesforce technology project delivery
- Excellent understanding of Salesforce development, particularly with Service Cloud and Field Service Lightning
- Experience in large-scale agile delivery
- Proven track record in successful project completion and achieving software delivery targets
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and security best practices in software development
- Experience managing delivery budgets
- Knowledge and understanding of Software Development Lifecycle
- Proficient in Agile Scrum delivery
