We are looking for a Coppermills Water Outage Resource Manager to join Thames Water permanently.

This role is an opportunity to facilitate the outage plan for North East London's clean water assets. 
You will build and maintain an outage plan for Coppermills including all work which impacts site output, this must be managed to not impact other activities (e.g. GAC programme) which could reduce site resilience.

Monday – Friday 36 hours per week 07:30 – 15:30.

What you will be doing as a Coppermills Water Outage Resource Manager?

  • Communicate clearly with all stakeholders about their outage needs and allocated slots and dependencies.
  • Manage the enabling activities for all Coppermills planned outages (this does not mean doing all enablers, but tracking, coordinating and supporting delivery to ensure completion in sufficient time or escalating where this will not be achieved. It also means doing the enablers where this is reasonable/within capability).
  • Complete 2 x SHEs per month, report safety observations and support the site teams with resolution of safety issues.
  • Attend relevant site operations meetings e.g. H&S meetings as decided by the NE London Area Operations Manager.
  • Gain a full understanding of the Coppermill site layout and process to be able to facilitate site visits/tours and scope visits for contractors independently if required.
  • Raises risks and concerns at the local RP and risk meetings, working with the ROC/Technical Manager to ensure these are captured on APS.
  • Work closely with the Contact Tank Engineer to deliver the contact tank outages.
  • Present on site at Coppermills minimum of 3 days per week.
  • Key outages required to deliver the WS-SRP schemes start and finish on time.
  • London outage plan was delivered successfully with no ‘surprises’ from the Coppermills outage plan and Coppermills outages do not compromise the rest of the London plan.
  • Risks to site output, pumping resilience and quality are fully understood communicated and mitigated in agreement with other outage stakeholders.

What should you bring to the role?

  • A full UK driving licence is required due to travelling to other sites.
  • Knowledge of water treatment.
  • Great organisational skills, and ability to work across teams with different skills and backgrounds in a collaborative manner.
  • The ability to analyse data from various sources, using this data to produce achievable plans.
  • Experience in project management.
