Thames Water are seeking a talented and motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic Change & Product Function team. In this key role, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to manage governance, streamline processes, and ensure exceptional results in a fast-paced and evolving environment.

What you will be doing as the Project Manager

As a key member of the Change & Product Function, you will take ownership of complex Retail projects, driving effective demand management, value tracking, and ensuring robust project delivery.

Duties to include but not limited to:

  • Project Planning and Execution: Lead the planning and execution of your projects, ensuring all milestones are met on time and within budget.
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify and engage with key stakeholders, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Process Mapping: Lead the process mapping activities and support the design of service blueprints to ensure clear and efficient workflows.
  • Process and Data Analysis: Collaborate with the Data & MI team to analyse pain points and gather insights to inform project decisions.
  • Creative Problem Solving: Develop innovative solutions to address customer pain points and improve processes.
  • Governance and Reporting: Establish project governance, including meeting cadence, progress documentation, and regular reporting to senior leadership.
  • Communication: Develop and implement a communications plan to keep all stakeholders informed and engaged.
  • Compliance and Quality Assurance: Ensure all project activities comply with regulatory requirements and quality standards.

What you should bring to the role:  

  • Proven experience in project management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver projects at pace.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities.
  • Familiarity with Retail services in a water industry an advantage.
  • Knowledge of digital & comms platforms and web development processes is a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience in process mapping activities and identifying customer pain points.

  • A Competitive salary of £50,000 and up to £55,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
