We are recruiting two Water Resources Analysts to strengthen our analytical, environmental and modelling capability within the Water Resources Team. These roles will play a critical part in monitoring water supply risk, developing an understanding of environmental impacts, supporting regulatory submissions, and providing robust evidence.
What you’ll be doing as a Water Resources Analyst
Across both roles, you will analyse hydrometric, operational, and environmental data to support Thames Water’s long‑term goal of ensuring secure, sustainable water supplies while reducing abstraction impacts on vulnerable and iconic catchments. Each position has a slightly different technical focus—one centred on water resources system modelling and risk assessment, and the other on environmental impact assessments—but both contribute to protecting the environment and improving our understanding of water system behaviour.
The roles will deliver a wide range of analytical and modelling outputs, including groundwater monitoring rounds, Water Situation Reporting, Water Resources modelling, outage representation, assessment of abstraction licence reductions and production of regulatory reporting. They will also support high‑quality data management and the preparation of presentations to inform operational and strategic decision‑making.
