We are seeking a full-time permanent Process Controller (Water) to join our Guildford and South- West Surrey area operations team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team of professionals committed to delivering the production of millions of litres of water for customers across South West Surrey every day.
Location: Shalford – Guildford – GU4 8BW, however you will cover the whole Guildford area and drive between 40 different sites
Hours: Monday – Friday, 38 hours per week, 7.30am – 15:36pm, plus a standby rota
What you will be doing as a Process Controller (Water)
- Following the appropriate training, you’ll learn how to operate and optimise all processes and equipment onsite to ensure water quality, compliance, safety and operational efficiency.
- Respond to reactive work to maintain operational output.
- Complete scheduled planned work on plant and equipment in compliance with company standards and procedures.
- Taking responsibility for your own Health and Safety, as well as for others on site by promoting a safe working environment.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders for the completion of large-scale planned work on-site.
- Support with the training of apprentices when required.
The essential criteria to help you succeed in this role are:
- A full UK driving license is required as you will be travelling to different sites, you will be provided with a company van.
- Health & Safety Knowledge and experience.
- Confidence making decisions about our sites under pressure.
- Ability to demonstrate logical thinking and attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously and part of a team.
- Excellent communication and rapport building skills to establish strong relationships with stakeholders quickly.
The desirable criteria to help you succeed in the role are:
- Management of Water Production qualification (or equivalent), or water industry experience.
- Strong physical fitness as you may have to work in confined spaces and work at height following completion of appropriate training.
- Process Control Experience.
