About the role:

The Creative Hub Manager will run a copy and design hub for Thames Water which will act as an internal agency to provide creative services business-wide.

The role-holder will be primarily managing the internal customer relationships to make sure that we consistently deliver quality copy and design output (with both internal and external resources) and to make sure we work to clear and transparent prioritisation mechanisms to agreed timescales.

This role will sit in Corporate Affairs and have a dotted line into Customer Experience as our communication to our customers will take top priority for the business.

A key member of the brand and marketing senior leadership team, this role is central to managing relationships with key stakeholders to ensure all work goes through the hub, while overseeing the production of creative communications.

This role will drive efficiencies and cut costs, while ensuring a quality product every time that delivers on the brief.

Key areas of accountability will include:

  • Key member of the Brand and Marketing senior leadership team.
  • Develops and manages a transparent gateway into the hub that is prioritised as per the agreed strategic company priorities.
  • Manages the workload and deliverables of the hub, including work done by external agencies to make sure they are duly prioritised, delivered on time and quality standards.
  • Accountable for quality assurance of all the work being delivered by the hub.
  • Runs the hub as a smooth operation, implementing and monitoring metrics that determine performance and (internal) customer satisfaction.
  • Leads a team of designers and copywriters in line with the company values, building a centre of excellence in copy and design.
  • Manages the relationships with external creative agencies (if applicable) when outsourcing work through the hub.

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Desirable – experience in a similar role in-house or working in account management in an agency environment.
  • Collaborative approach essential.
  • Ability to support the business with articulating a clear brief.
  • Strong people leadership skills with the ability to lead a team of creative professionals to deliver the right customer and business outcomes.
  • Experienced in delivering copy and design projects with a good understanding of digital trends and functionality.
  • Strong project management, planning, judgement and organisational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills including the ability to craft intelligent client messaging and strategic documentation in line with the brand guidelines.
  • Experience of working in large cross-functional organisations to deliver a common goal using effective governance.
  • Track record of converting strategy into action.
  • Excellent influencing, stakeholder and leadership skills.
  • Experience of working, influencing and negotiating with external agencies and partners.
  • Flexibility required: occasional out of hours work may be required to deal with business emergencies.
