About the role:

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be empowered to manage all commercial aspects of an area of the business offering contractual and commercial advice to the stakeholders.

As a senior member of the highly respected commercial team you will be expected to lead by example with a tenacious and detailed approach. You will be commercially responsible for up to £30 million spend, ensuring Thames Water meets all its contractual, legal and commercial obligations whilst safeguarding Thames Water against claims in excess of £2 million per annum and deliver efficiency savings to Thames Water of £5 million per annum.

This is a highly rewarding role with the management and development of 5 FTE. Providing guidance and support of the team through the RICS assessment process.

 

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in a commercial role
  • Experience of managing people
  • Experience of commercial responsibility in excess of £15 million
  • Experience of resolving claims in excess of £1 million
  • Experience of engaging at Middle Management level
  • Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
  • Managing high volume and low value contracts
  • Chartered Quantity Surveyor or at latter stages of assessment
