About the role:

The night working supervisor is responsible for being the main point of contact and coordination of resources to support the night work for network service technicians working on Thames Water Trunk Main maintenance program and Project Support teams. You will be responsible for four members of staff 2x North London and 2x South London and your area of operation will be the whole of the London region.

You will report to the South London Field operations manager and work closely with the North London Field operations manager to deliver key KPI’s.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Performance managing a field operations team to deliver operational performance and customer service targets.
  • Create reports and attend meetings with area managers to discuss KPI’s and team performance
  • Ensure that all planned work is through our internal SAP system and work is delegated to individual engineers, whilst creating own database to manage the team's workflow.
  • Review and ensure any costs can be recharge to the related projects.
  • Ensure resources are planned for all agreed programmes of work.
  • Provide specialist technical advice and knowledge where appropriate.
  • Statutory obligations and Thames Water Policy and Standards are maintained at all times.
  • Promote a culture of engagement and motivation within the team.
  • Conduct regular site visits throughout the night to assess the quality of work being completed by your team.
  • Complete TW H&S audits in line with management’s requirements
  • Take team responsibility for safe working practices that comply with company procedures.

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • The ideal candidate will have experience in leading, developing and performance managing field-based operatives. You will have gained experience within the water industry and must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • As there may be times where you will have to support operationally, you will be technically experienced with a good understanding of how the clean water network operates.
  • You will be fully competent in the use of Microsoft Excel, Teams and Word as well as planning and reporting software.
  • Strong health and safety and customer-based ethic are crucial.
