About the role:

You will be responsible for supporting the delivery of a sustainable water production strategy that provides a continuous and wholesome across the Thames Valley region. Your role will provide advice and influence others to shape their approach to planning and delivering organisational objectives; To apply knowledge and expertise within the professional specialism to broader activities in the context of establishing best practice, policies and procedures; To use knowledge from the external environment to influence operations/best practice, interpreting legislative and/or regulatory requirements.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Display strong leadership ability by setting the agenda, understanding how the business operates and being a role model of Thames water vison and values
  • Drive key changes to help delivery key components of the Thames Valley Water Production transformation.
  • Interpret and, where possible, influence new regulatory policy that impacts Thames Water, in a positive way.
  • Apply commercial acumen in managing contractors and suppliers to deliver best value solution through an agreed programme of work
  • Deliver a strong financial performance through efficiency work streams for the region
  • Develop and manage relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of production plan delivery
  • Drive a culture of safety, quality compliance, performance management and exceptional customer service and experience

  • Broad business knowledge and demonstrable commercial acumen
  • Preferably degree level education
  • Current H&S management competence i.e. NEBOSH, IOSH
  • Full driving licence required.

  • Sound judgement
  • Extensive relevant experience, ideally a minimum 2/3 years team/functional management
