About the role: 

Are you an accomplished Change Analyst who is ready to support our new and inspiring Water Networks Transformation Director to set the direction for change?  This is a fantastic opportunity to fundamentally change how we operate and set ourselves up for future success. Working as part of the change stream in the Water Network Transformation (WNTX) team, you will support change management across the programme workstreams to ensure the employees impacted by the changes are prepared and ready to accept the organisation changes to their working lives. This will in turn enable the delivery of the WNTX outcomes.

Key Accountabilities:

Transformation & Change Management

  • Support the change team to assess, design and implement the change plans including defining change deliverables
  • Act as a conduit between the business and the programme to assess the impacts of the change on people and support the development of business readiness requirements and plans
  • Support the delivery of change interventions such as implementing a change champion network
  • Support the Change Manager to monitor change readiness activities, mitigating risks and feeding progress into the Programme Office
  • Support the business teams to ensure they are ready for upcoming changes and provide support throughout the process
  • Identify business improvement opportunities and support their implementation.

Analysis

  • Create change impact heat maps and analyse them to highlight areas that need to be addressed
  • Provide recommendations on interventions and tactics to address resistance

Communication

  • Support the development and communication of the case for change.
  • Act as a champion for change by engaging with people and supporting the design and implementation of pulse checks.
  • Support the business leads and program managers to communicate effectively, consistently and regularly with stakeholders across the WNTX.
  • Support the change team to ensure the stakeholders are clear on the changes being made, who is impacted, how this is being managed and their role in supporting the change to be successful.
  • Support the management of content pipeline ensuring communication messages, flow and timing are effective to all key stakeholders.
  • Provide regular and timely two-way feedback to key stakeholders and their teams

 To be successful you will have the following skills and experience: 

  • Experience in supporting the end to end change management process – ideally in an operating model or cost transformation change programme
  • Familiar with industry-standard change management frameworks e.g. ADKAR
  • Experience working in change management and transformation environments
  • Good working knowledge and experience using standard analytical tools e.g. excel
  • Experience of working in an unionised environment 
  • Good commercial acumen 
  • Analytical with a good eye for detail
  • Excellent attention to detail alongside excellent organisational skills 
  • Confident communicator with a creative flair and who can think proactively to bring new ideas 
  • Strong interpersonal skills both verbally and in writing
  • Familiar with industry-standard change management frameworks e.g. ADKAR
  • Self-starter – resilient, flexible and tenacious under pressure  
  • Degree level or equivalent in a Business or Professional (e.g. HR or Engineering) Discipline would be desirable with additional relevant qualifications e.g. Change, Programme or Project management qualifications.
