About the role?

We are currently seeking a Master Data Management (MDM) Analyst within the work and asset information team. Working across the water and wastewater business units, this proactive role will be responsible for understanding the asset data in SAP PM and GIS, the quality of the data and how it can be utilised to make business decisions.

You will take ownership of the asset and maintenance plan update process by engaging with various teams and stakeholders to ensure they understand the data they are supplying to the team.  You will also need to be proactive in engaging with these teams to identify where we are missing data or receiving incorrect data and ensuring maintenance of data quality through rigorous change management. Proactive data quality monitoring and an ongoing program identifying improvements that need to be made will also be part of the role

You will have the opportunity to work with a range of teams and business units within the wholesale business including an alliance of partners who support the companies’ capital delivery programme.  We cover all aspects of the business from building new treatment sites through to the decommissioning process and implementation of new maintenance regimes. Key Accountabilities:

  • Creation and updating of work and asset data within SAP PM by engaging with key business stakeholders to ensure the timeliness and quality of data provided.
  • Providing training and support to allow data providers to understand the importance of the data supplied.
  • Establishing relationships with all areas of the business to ensure data quality.
  • Being the “go-to” person, providing support to business areas as and when required.
  • Working within the data governance framework for SAP PM asset and work data, identify improvements to increase efficiency in data and information handling.

We are seeking a data analyst who specialises in assets/equipment and possesses a strong interest in data and analytics and has a high attention to detail. You must be able to work to your own initiative and be self-motivated.  As you will be working with technical and non-technical teams you must be able to demonstrate the ability to communicate in a variety of ways to ensure that an understanding of the information you require is provided.

SAP PM Asset Maintenance or other CMMS background is desirable; however, training will be provided.  It would be an advantage if you understand equipment lifecycle with an appreciation of the maintenance activities required to keep equipment operational.

A relevant scientific or engineering qualification would be an advantage.  

Due to regular travel, you will need a valid UK driving licence and your own transport.
