About the role:

Based within the London Hydraulic Modelling Team, the Modelling Programme Lead will have oversight of both the London and Thames Valley modelling programme work streams. Working directly with the regional managers and modelling leads, you will ensure the workload is balanced and support the quadrant/regional leads with resourcing and prioritisation.

In this role, you will be working alongside a team of modellers and engineers reporting directly into the Water Modelling Manager. Providing support to regional managers with stakeholder management against deliverables, you will report against SLA’s and agreed delivery targets. You will be in a unique position to identifying risks to delivery and you will work with quadrant/regional Leads to develop and implement recovery plans as applicable.

A key part of the role will be to raise shopping carts if external support is required from our supply chain to meet deadlines or to deliver particularly technical analysis. You will undertake simple financial analysis to aid with both monthly and annual reporting.

Travel between Reading and Hampton to attend meetings will be required.

Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Handling multiple work streams which require the services of the hydraulic modelling team
  • Management of the programme, Service Level Agreements, funding, and reporting
  • Delivering excellent customer service, both internally and externally
  • Ensuring the customer journey is maintained from initial request to delivery of the final reporting
  • Engagement with multiple stakeholders; including operations, strategic control, developer services, and the wider asset management team

To be successful, you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Exceptional organisation skills
  • Understanding of water networks and the water industry is desirable
  • Confident with managing multiple minor programmes of work, using standard tools like Excel and SharePoint
  • Ability to engage with people at all levels across the business
  • Experience of purchase orders and SAP would be advantageous
  • Due to the nature of this role, you will be required to have a valid full driving licence
