We are seeking a Supply Chain Compliance Administrator, 6 months FTC to operate in a multi-tasking capacity within our Compliance team in Purchase to Pay. You will work collaboratively across the entire Commercial process, maintaining vendor master data, manage catalogues, material masters and service master, with the use of third-party data to understand commercial risks and highlight any emerging risks. You will build and develop relationships with internal customers, suppliers and third-party providers to fully understand the process and support any improvements.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain data held in SAP, ensuring records are accurate and up to date including vendors, catalogues, material masters, service masters
  • Proactively process all new requests and changes to vendor master data to meet SLA’s and KPI’s, ensuring they meet the control checks. These include:
    • VAT registration and length of trading (HMRC)
    • Health and safety (Achilles)
    • Financial health (D&B)
    • Director risk (C6)
    • Bank account verification
  • Manage the annual refresh of data held in the vendor master along with any periodical self-cert requirements e.g. Achilles, MSA, cybersecurity.
  • Track, investigate and action alerts generated from D&B and notify the relevant parties as appropriate.
  • Proactively manage the number of live vendors in SAP by carrying out frequent deactivations.
  • Work with Thames Digital to establish and maintain standard SAP role profiles for each functional area in Commercial.
  • Manage data and drive effective processes to ensure the security and integrity of data.
  • Identify, challenge and monitor Health, Safety and Wellbeing (HSW) issues to ensure HSW is given the highest priority in the business. Work with Commercial Solutions and HSW team as necessary.
  • Help shape new processes that impact data managed by the team e.g. MSA, IR35.
  • Make effective decisions based upon a mixture of analysis, experience and judgment.

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in a similar working environment.
  • SAP experience, particularly Supply Chain and Finance modules.
  • MS Office, particularly Excel, Word and PowerPoint at an intermediary level.
  • Good communication skills, written and oral with people at different levels in a professional manner.
  • Good understanding of the importance of risk.
  • Effective negotiation and persuasion skills.
  • Process-driven but with the ability to challenge.
  • Confidentiality at work.
  • Be flexible in approach, organised and able to prioritise effectively, whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail.
