About the role:

Reporting into the Strategy Lead, as the Strategy Support, you will contribute to the development and implementation of a Strategic Asset Management Plan, which sets out how our assets will be managed to achieve objectives including:

  • the expected levels of performance in specific areas.
  • how these will be achieved.
  • how the optimum asset interventions will be determined and key accountabilities.

You will be involved in the documentation and maintenance of key asset class intervention methodologies and long-term investment strategies, writing in detail the processes as determined by the Strategy Lead.

You will contribute to the programme working towards ISO 55001 accreditation and support the development and implementation of a continuous improvement plan for the asset management system.

Providing assistance for programme reporting to both internal and external stakeholders, this role gives you the opportunity to be involved in engagement and collaboration with stakeholders across the business.

Key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Contribute to the development of a Strategic Asset Management Plan.
  • Contribute to the documentation of key Water Asset Strategies/Long term asset plans.
  • Document key investment methodologies and processes.
  • Contribute towards the Asset Management system development.
  • Undertake ISO55001 audits in accordance with the audit programme.
  • Support in the documentation of continuous improvement plans for Asset Management.

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience: 

  • Educated to degree level with outstanding role-specific experience.
  • Strategic long-term thinker.
  • Working knowledge of Asset Management.
  • Prior knowledge of water investment planning is desirable.
  • Self-starting, resilient, and tenacious under pressure.
  • A great team player with the ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders across the business, who is competent at using the appropriate company IT systems.
