We are looking for an engaging and experienced L & D Consultant (6-month maternity FTC)  to join our specialist team to create and deliver talent/learning initiatives at all stages of the employee lifecycle. You will support the management and leadership population, to manage performance, through building capability within Thames Water by designing and delivering a range of learning interventions to support our management and leadership population to meet our business plan.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Support the creation of appropriate models and processes to support leaders in proactively managing talent and performance and development.
  • Build capability within the management and leadership population in all areas of talent identification, succession planning and talent development.
  • Work with the Business and HR Business Partners to design and deliver appropriate leadership and management development programmes.
  • Design and deliver appropriate interventions to build capability in managers to drive performance.
  • Take accountability for one key element of the Talent Development portfolio (e.g Graduate programme, Leadership behaviours, coaching for Performance and Succession Planning).
  • As part of a team, design and deliver appropriate People Development programmes.
  • Actively measure/support the business in measuring the effectiveness of Talent, Learning and Development initiatives.
  • Work across the Talent and Learning team to model a collaborative and inclusive approach

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Significant experience in the design and delivery of management and leadership learning and development activities, with the ability to engage face to face and virtually.
  • Experience in programme and project management would be beneficial.
  • Broad talent and learning experience with a special interest encouraged (Coaching, Graduate DiSC Management, Insights, MBTI etc)
