About the role: 

We are very excited to announce a brand-new opportunity, HR Reporting & Insights Analyst.  

Thames Water (TW) has exciting growth plans and requires an analyst to come on board and be fundamental to handling People data processes and producing strong MI reports whilst ensuring organisation and efficiency are maximised.

Working as part of a wider HR team, you will be joining an innovative organisation that really believe in investing in their people.

Reporting into the People Analytics Manager, this role will have accountability for the provision of data, MI reporting and dashboards to meet stakeholder requirements. The role holder will drive value through analysing and evaluating data and reports, providing data insights, and assisting in resolving People data-related issues.

We are looking for an HR professional with experience in using HRIS systems and data visualisation tools. This role is an analytical role, focussing on finding solutions through data analysis and investigation.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of insight-led people reporting, dashboards, people business packs and external reporting requirements.
  • Be responsible for getting the most out of the HRIS, whilst ensuring the data is accurate and protected.
  • Support the delivery of the functional plan in line with the overall people strategy, the business priorities and strategic workforce plans
  • Be responsible for the scoping of data requirements for key projects. Developing tools and reports to support the achievement of project KPIs.
  • Provide insights into key trends to support project decision making.
  • Work with the People Analytics Manager on the continuous review, simplification, and improvement of people data related processes to close identified data gaps, integrate new data sources, ensure high quality of data and appropriate controls.

To be successful you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience using SAP HCM with the ability to manipulate large volumes of HR data from the system (essential)
  • Experience in the use of Microsoft Power BI (or similar data visualisation tools) and expert in Microsoft Excel (essential)
  • Strong data management, modelling, and analytical skills
  • Able to work through complex issues and demonstrate understanding of the detail whilst holding the bigger possibility
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and a good understanding of key HR processes
  • Strong project management skills with excellent levels of self-motivation
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work with colleagues from different backgrounds
