About the role:

We currently have a 6 months Fixed term contract for a Process Technician, to perform a range of assigned front line activities including operation, testing, routine checks, maintenance, and problem-solving to ensure that services are delivered to time, cost, and quality standards. To ensure the overall operation of the THP plant. In some cases, this may include planned and preventative maintenance of equipment to support the operation of the plant.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Operation of plant and equipment, ensuring continuous operation of THP and associated plant and process.
  • Cleaning, first-line maintenance, and fault-finding. This may include planned preventative maintenance.
  • Monitoring, collating and reporting of data to ensure statutory and regulatory compliance is met.
  • Undertake safety and security checks.
  • Process monitoring by visual inspection, sample gathering, and online monitor checking
  • Take personal responsibility for the health and safety of self and colleagues.

Qualifications, Experience, and Skills required for this role will be the following

  • Basic literacy and numeracy required plus completion of NVQ level 2 units - as a minimum (or equivalent).
  • Must have proven working experience ideally in the Water industry or in a relevant industrial processing/engineering environment.
  • Good communication skills
  • Computer data input and enquiry experience is desirable but not essential as training will be given.
  • Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures including Confined Space Entry. As well as attend Boiler Operator training and achieve the qualification.
  • A full current driving licence is essential
