What you will be doing

We are looking for a HR Business Partner with experience of designing and delivering HR change (organisation design and culture is a key focus) to partner the Customer Service business area within our Retail Division during a period of significant business transformation. The role reports to the Retail HR Director and works closely with the Director of Customer Services.

This role is part of the Customer Service Leadership team (billing, complaints, customer contact and planning) to ensure the right people plans are in place to drive to the successful delivery of key strategic business objectives. With the tenacity to engage and challenge the senior leadership team on continuous improvement opportunities in the way the operational activity is delivered to support the cultural shift to coaching for high performance and the improvement of customer outcomes through increased employee engagement and achieving the optimal organisational design.

We’re looking for you to:

  • Experience of planning and delivering HR change to a business area and organisation design
  • Resilience to manage the competing people priorities and challenging stakeholders to maintain momentum on the people plans, evolving the plans as appropriate to ensure they continue to align to longer term business priorities
  • High organised and responsive, with the ability to prioritise work to meet tight deadlines
  • Confident, tenacious, takes ownership of issues to resolve in a timely manner
  • Experience of managing challenging stakeholders
  • Trustworthy, with ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across the business including the different people specialisms to align local people plan delivery

The Commercial team is currently responsible for £1.5 billion worth of spend per year, with contract values ranging between circa £100,000 through to hundreds of million pounds.
