We are recruiting for an experienced Head of Data Insight to join our busy Wholesale Services Team. Wholesale Services provides a number of metering, new connection, water efficiency and other services to a range of internal and external customers – including Water Retailers and Building Developers, as well as delivering services directly to our Household and Non-Household customers.  Within this role you will be a focal point for insight and risk and opportunity identification related to meter and property data.  You will address commercial, regulatory, customer service and efficiency challenges related to this data and make recommendations.

This role is pivotal in identifying opportunities to correct data issues whilst ensuring business data and quality controls are in place to create high quality meter and property data.


Here’s some of the things you will be involved in:

  • Ensuring the data associated with our revenue metering base is robust and accurate, and facilitates the efficient collation of meter reading / consumption data for billing and leakage purposes
  • Leading on revenue maximisation and water leakage reduction opportunities associated with enhancing property data completeness and accuracy, and issues associated with unbilled / unregistered consumption
  • Developing and governance of the oversight of data control points and assurance processes
  • Managing the development of strategies to identify and drive further value from these data streams
  • Securely delivering existing digital data services to our external and internal customers in a timely manner achieving or exceeding customer service level agreements
  • Leading a team of data experts whilst supporting the delivery of large and complex projects driven through data & usage
  • Reviewing of efficiencies in meter to bill processes to drive best service to customers and best commercial outcome
  • Leadership of consumption analytics, modelling and forecasting


Your experience may include 

  • Data analytics on large data sets, ideally including smart metering experience
  • Developing cost effective strategies and identify improved ways of delivering
  • Continually reviewing and developing strategies to improve meter and property data across the business
  • Informing strategy through data insights
  • Ensuring the provision of quality assured data, information and management reporting to meet the needs of the customer
