What you will be doing

We are currently seeking a experienced Data Analyst to join our wholesale market services department which facilitates the delivery of our business's new market obligations. We enable the sale of services to all companies licensed to operate in the water markets, this equates to over £400m of revenue that is managed within the team. As well as managing approximately £40m of risk associated with market compliance.

As a wholesale market Data Analyst, you will work alongside our internal business users in a small team that is responsible for monitoring, analysing, interpreting, reporting, and auditing the data flow between internal systems and the open water market.

You will also support in identifying issues through these methods, and lead resolutions. A big focus of this role will be to continuously drive efficiency to achieve as high levels of automation as possible. Increase the profile of the impact of poor data, and drive improvements across the business at the source.

We’re looking for you to:

  • Be confident working with people, processes and systems, especially via Transactional SQL.
  • Excellent data analyst who has the drive and accountability to push this role into providing an effective and insightful business tool.
  • Able to engage with all levels of the business and have the ability to translate technical language into understandable terms.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with effective data analysis methods and techniques you will ideally have experience in Microsoft T-SQL.
  • Manipulating data in Infosphere would be beneficial.
