What you will be doing

This is a brilliant opportunity to join Thames Water’s Water Networks team at an exciting time as it continues its business and cultural transformation. Our Water Network business provides our customers and communities with life’s essential service ‘Water,’ and this new role is crucial in ensuring we provide them with each and every day with the high-quality service they deserve.

We’re looking for you to provide an excellent service to our customers, through the effective operation and maintenance of the Water Network.

Proactive and engaging management will play a big part in what you do every day. You will lead and support a multi-skilled field team and contractors who will be undertaking a series of tasks consisting of routine maintenance through to complex investigations and issue resolution.

Health and Safety is at the forefront of what we do, and you will be ensuring that your team are capable and competent to undertake the work required and that all training and formal accreditation is in place.

We’re looking for you to:

  • Lead and develop your team through a supportive and engaging leadership style.
  • Inform and communicate with various teams and stakeholders.
  • Possess excellent organisational skills to ensure your team are delivering on target.
  • Own and deliver the safety and wellbeing plans to ensure our zero-compromise approach is in our DNA, and that a mindset of behavioural safety is embedded within your teams.
  • Have relevant industry experience of leading within a water network or leakage environment.
  • Be fully competent at using the appropriate company IT systems and office software.
