What you will be doing

This is an exciting role where, as the Flooding Data Quality Co-ordinator, you will be responsible for auditing internal flooding incidents to ensure these are captured and are accurate in line with our regulatory obligations. The role is pivotal to the delivery of our Ofwat performance commitment on internal sewer flooding.

The role will include the review of data captured by the field teams from both WNS contractors and our field operations and giving feedback on the quality of the data, whilst building and maintaining relationships with Stakeholders.

High confidence in our flooding data is essential, aside from the regulatory aspect, it is used to inform our short, medium- and long-term interventions on the network. These interventions form part of a wider plan to address priority areas across the business such as reducing blockages, flooding, pollutions, customer complaints and increasing resilience.

We’re looking for you to:

  • Have good written and verbal communication skills to interact with different stakeholders
  • Possess strong analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Have the ability to manage different relationships
  • Possess the ability to negotiate, influence and reason
  • Be competent in use of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, GIS view tool and Vistec
  • Have previous knowledge of wastewater networks and relevant legislation (desirable)
