What you will be doing

We are currently recruiting 2 Project Coordinators (Tideway Project). Due to the nature of the role, your base location will be at Abbey Mills Stratford and you will be expected to travel to other sites in the London area.  This role is 36 hours working week Monday to Friday with the requirement to work nights and weekends as per Tideway Project needs for which you will be compensated. 

As a successful candidate, your role will be to provide essential planning and coordination of complex large sewer activity in central London to facilitate significant capital investment projects. The role will require a large focus on engagement and communication with key stakeholders to ensure all activities are planned effectively and efficiently. Responsible for delivering network infrastructure and process improvements to the sewage network, to ensure KPIs are met, with a key focus on the customer journey.

Key areas of accountability will include:

  • Co-ordinate briefed projects and activities, provide and deliver reports, presentations, and analyses of data as necessary
  • G permit writing & providing safe and secure isolations for contractor activity
  • Support the department by liaising or attending meetings with key internal and external stakeholders, as required
  • You will need to develop safe systems of work for complex tasks including confined space activities
  • Responsible for ensuring all aspects of H&S are managed correctly, by completing authorizations permits, and site inspections
  • The role will have a large focus on being site-based on the various construction sites and will require some attendance in the evenings, nights, and potential weekends
  • To monitor and report on all aspects of the projects that you are directly accountable for, including H&S, finance, program, risk, and opportunity
  • Ensure compliance with internal processes and procedures and external regulations and best practices
  • Deliver excellent customer service and continuous improvement

We’re looking for you to have:

  • Previous working experience in the water or a Similar industry
  • Good communication skills and proactive approach
  • Experience in managing Health and Safety
  • Good understanding of Stakeholder expectations
  • An awareness of business procedures and processes
  • Ability to liaise at all levels and influence beyond the span of control
  • High attention to detail
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • Willing to enter the sewage network once essential training is completed

The role would suit someone who has experience in planning and managing activities and although water industry experience is preferable, it is not essential, transferable skills have often come from construction, Military, utility, engineering, and planning roles.
