What you’ll be doing

  • To help support and improve the Capital Delivery enterprise assurance strategy and framework.
  • To support the appropriate assurance to senior stakeholders that the key risks to Thames Water in executing its portfolio of works are being managed effectively.
  • To support the administration and continuous improvement of the Capital Delivery Business Management System (BMS) and the development and implementation of the Building Information Management (BIM) strategy.
  • Accountable for supporting and monitoring Thames Water corporate governance requirements, systems and processes across the Capital Delivery program.
  • Responsible for working with the Capital Delivery PMO departments to ensure the Gated Process is embedded within the entire program and that the functions, responsibilities, processes, and procedures are in place, communicated, and understood by those following them.
  • Working with the Capital Approvals Team, support analysis of Asset Investment Committee
  • Work with the Capital Delivery planners to maintain the governance watch list for projects out of, or moving towards being out of, governance

We’re looking for you to

  • Good knowledge of risk and assurance
  • Experience in formal reviews, such as audits, and involvement in a program of assurance
  • Knowledge of corporate governance
  • Knowledge of project management practices
  • Knowledge of risk management processes and principles
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Data analytics and reporting within a top tier reporting function, preferably a PMO
  • Excellent communication (verbal & written), influencing, persuading, relationship management, and presentation skills
  • Experience working in a multi-disciplinary project/program delivery environment, preferably within utilities, construction, or service industry.
