We are seeking an experienced Performance Manager for our Guildford and other satellite sewage treatment works, with a proven track record of engaging & developing their team; ideally with field-based members.

We would like you to be responsible for the following:

· Ensuring the team achieves optimal performance in terms of work management and developing & introducing new skills & Health & safety awareness. You will effectively lead the Health and Safety culture of the team as well as audit, maintain, and drive improvements to the Health and Safety system & processes

· Taking the lead and achieving results in a difficult fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on good management of health and safety principles

· Process Management – ensuring compliance at all the sites. Ensure that the sites achieve & maintain the required plant availability and reliability to meet quality targets at the agreed cost

· Financial Management –control of budgetary and financial activities of a team of multi-skilled technicians (operational and maintenance) and site managers. Driving efficiencies into the overall operational budget

We are looking for a highly motivated individual who has experience in some of the following disciplines

· Expertise in managing the operational budget with a structured and proactive approach

· Technical knowledge of electrical and mechanical principles underpinned by a background in wastewater however, this is not essential

· Competent in using IT equipment/systems and be able to interpret complex Excel spreadsheets

· Proven ability to embrace the application of lean process techniques

· Process Management – ensuring site compliance and the site achieves & maintains its required plant availability and reliability to meet quality targets at the agreed cost

· Financial Management –control of budgetary and financial activities of the team and driving efficiencies into the overall operational budget

· Performance Management – you will be responsible for ensuring the team achieve optimal performance in terms of work management and you will be responsible for developing the team & introducing new skills & Health & safety awareness, working alongside Team managers

· Customer & Stakeholder Management - ensuring exceptional service to the plant key stakeholders with early personal interventions as required

· Health and Safety – You will effectively lead the Health and Safety culture of the team as well as auditing, maintaining, and driving improvements to the Health and Safety system & processes
