Who are we?

Thames Water is the UK’s largest water and wastewater company. We make a daily difference to our 15 million customers by supplying 2.6 billion litres of water through 32,000 km of pipes, keeping taps flowing and toilets flushing.

What you’ll be doing?

The stock optimisation programme went live in 2020, providing Thames Water with a real-time, end to end supply chain system to manage inventory levels and stock movements.  We now aim to build on this to:

  • Manage our chemical supply chain, providing end to end visibility of holdings, demand & consumption of chemicals through site processes, replacing the current manual & risk-based approach
  • Enable 'Yard' management of TW's own materials in line with clean water network principles to provide visibility and negate duplication of materials, look to adopt these principles and processes into the Capital Delivery supply chain model that negates supplier exit at the end of the AMP
  • Support the 'Front Line First' programme with 'tools for the job' by reducing lead times for fulfilment, single place of order with clear prices and stock managed through a blend of centrally and locally, ensuring availability of key resources
