What you’ll be doing

Do you want to take your career to the next level by being part of the team responsible for one of the largest corporate debt programmes in the UK in support of our ambitious capital investment programme?

This is a broad and exciting role in the Treasury team at the UK’s largest Water and Wastewater Company, in which you will be responsible for money market dealing, cash investments, cash forecasting, facility drawdowns, accurate recording of transactions in the Treasury Management System and conducting fair valuations of debt and derivative financial instruments.

This role will give the right person an exciting challenge to develop our liquidity management strategy, gain exposure to our wider business and treasury activities and contribute to the streamlining of our processes at Thames Water, and involves building and maintaining relationships both within the company and with our external lenders, facility agents and transaction counterparties.

You will be responsible for liquidity management in a Group with debt obligations of over £14bn, annual group interest costs of c.£500m and a derivatives portfolio with a notional value of over £10bn, reporting into a Senior Treasury Manager.

What you should bring to the role 

  • A talented individual with excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
  • Treasury professional with minimum of 3 years’ experience, AMCT
  • An understanding of debt and derivatives transactions, including index-linked, and valuation methodologies
  • Good at building relationships, a team-player and an effective communicator
  • Excellent MS excel skills, familiar with Treasury Management Systems
