What you’ll be doing

  • This is an exciting role within the fast turnaround Microbiology laboratory, joining a high-performing team that supports each other in delivering a high-quality service to our customers.
  • This is a highly regulated part of the business providing critical results in a timely fashion for the best value for money.
    Together we analyse samples using the latest technologies and techniques such as MALDI ToF and Flow Cytometry. 
  • You would be responsible for conducting analysis of many parameters, which include Cryptosporidium, E.coli, Cytotoxicity, Taste & Odour Chlorophyll a, algae, Enterococci & Clostridium.
  • Adhering to, and being part of, a successful ISO 17025 Quality Management System
  • You will carry out quality investigations and report writing, as well as contribute to the continuous improvement of the department
  • You will need to maintain competency at each stage of your development and training.

 We’re looking for you to

  • Have previous experience working in a laboratory or to have a related Science degree
  • Follow strict instructions and guidelines to produce, record, maintain and verify data within a highly regulated UKAS accredited Laboratory
  • Have our customers at the heart of everything you do and value being part of a team to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Be comfortable carrying out repetitive work and have a real passion for working in a laboratory
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve both yourself and processes and will be comfortable in putting your ideas forward
