What you’ll be doing
We are seeking a driven candidate to provide professional H&S construction advice to the management and delivery teams. Working solely for the Capital Maintenance Projects internal delivery team across the whole of Thames Water estate on both Clean and Wastewater Assets and Facilities. You will ensure that the Thames Water H&S, environmental and quality standards, are met. Key duties will include:

  • Full engagement with framework suppliers and sub-contractor supply chain involved in the delivery of site-based construction activities to ensure safe delivery and TW asset standards
  • Supporting and advising H&S Best Practice and for the training, development, and support of directly managed project engineers
  • Assurance that the CMP team delivering all projects within legislative, CDM and regulatory requirements, including Health & Safety, Environmental.
  • Managing and supporting any H&S investigations, and all stakeholder key interfaces, internal and external enforcing authorities

  • Up to £55,000 depending on skills and experience
  • Hybrid working – Can be based at a location in London, Thames Valley / Home Counties
  • Required to travel to operational sites and regional offices where project work is delivered
  • Supported by a £4,500 car allowance and fuel expenses
  • 36 hours per week, Monday-Friday


We’re looking for you:

  • Fully experienced and qualified health & safety professional from a construction background
  • Be an exemplar of Health, Safety and Environmental best practice
  • Highly experienced in delivering and briefing H&S corporate standards/ management systems
  • Responsible for assessing compliance to company processes and procedures
  • Proven expertise in auditing of H&S systems
  • Have a proven track record of managing Health & Safety programmes to delivering tangible improvements in performance
  • Hold a NEBOSH qualification and preferably educated to degree/HND level in engineering discipline, ideally with post qualification experience
  • Good understanding and experience of project lifecycle and end-to-end delivery process
  • Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own transport
