We have an exciting opportunity for you to join Thames Water as a Technical Process Lead.

The job pays between £37,000-£50,600 depending on knowledge and experience. 

What you’ll be doing

This is a unique role, and you will be involved with multiple projects and activities that reduce operational expenditure working closely with local teams and other departments to identify, plan and deliver efficiencies and improvement projects. No two days are the same, and you will gain experience and broaden your company knowledge working on initiatives independently and/or with other specialist team members.  

The role will also require programme and project management coordination and making sure that relevant information such as risk and action logging, planning and investigation tracking as well as benefits realisation is maintained within the programme logs.

What you should bring to the role

  • Highly advantageous but not necessary the successful candidate is likely to have a degree (or equivalent) in a Scientific or Engineering discipline and will ideally have experience in water treatment processes, supply and/or regulation
  • Knowledge around power/energy management/optimisation would also be desirable as would commercial and contractor management
  • Good organisational, communication and interpersonal skills are also key to this role, as you will be liaising with senior managers, colleagues, and front-line operatives as well as working across other departments
  • You will be a self-starter, seeking new ways of working and betterment, and you will be able to take the initiative and not rely upon close supervision and guidance. You will work in a logical and analytical manner, able to articulate complex subjects in an appropriate manner for various audiences
  • The nature of the role will necessitate travel across the Thames region requiring that you have a full driving licence, and a private car allowance will be available. You can be based at any of our production sites including S. London (Hampton) NE London (Coppermills) SE London (Orpington) Reading (Fobney) and Thames Valley (Farmoor)
