Enterprise Architect – Operational Technology

This role will be based in our Clearwater Court, Reading. However, there is an option for hybrid or remote working.

The Operational Technology EA is responsible for creating value by analysing business goals and defining the optimum use of technology to achieve successful delivery of these goals. They will drive the engagement of architecture on significant transformation programmes and in support of projects through ideation, design and delivery. They will work collaboratively with architects spanning the different architecture domains and use their experience to guide and mentor less experienced staff. Ultimately, they will define the technology strategy, roadmaps, architecture, and patterns to deliver next-generation customer service for the UK's largest water company.

What you will be doing?

Update and build upon the Operational Technology (OT) and connected asset strategy, developing the technical breadth in the strategy to cover all aspects of the Purdue stack from field device (FD) to the way end user interact with asset data.

• collaborate with other EA disciplines, engineering and operations to improve experiences for our customers, meet cost targets and support regulatory requirements.

• work within the established architectural governance process and work with other architects to improve and develop a compliant governance model

• participate in commercial model development for key On Prem, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS OT platforms

• maintain an architectural repository for the OT domain across the organisation

What you should bring to this role?

Experience of providing enterprise architecture and technical leadership to complex transformation programmes in a customer driven environment, ideally Utilities.

· Extensive (8 yrs+) experience of providing enterprise architecture and technical leadership to complex transformation programmes in a customer driven environment, ideally Utilities.

· Experience of working under a CA Competent Authority for Cyber CNI Critical National Infrastructure

· Cyber security training to CISSP level or equivalent driving security in depth and by design approaches

· Expert understanding of digital trends and challenges in the Utilities industry.

· Demonstrable experience working with business process outsourcing and building relationships with vendors.

· Understanding of data flows from field devices to customer and use of data models to provide customer value

· Network and compute systems including LAN, WAN and forest domain architectures
