An experienced Project Manager is needed to direct the delivery and performance management of SMART metered derived Customer Side Leakage (CSL) and Bulk, Mini Bulk and Replacement Metering to deliver leakage savings for Thames Water.
What you’ll be doing as a Project Manager
As the Project Manager, you will be accountable for the delivery of a range of technical services through the project lifecycle providing project teams with in-depth technical expertise.
Being the Project Manager in this role will see you direct an office and field-based team comprising of employees from Thames Water and our delivery partners in performance managing the end to end SMART CSL, Bulk and Replacement Metering Processes required to effectively deliver the MLD leakage savings and the customer journey.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Establish and continuously promote proactive health, safety & environment culture across the projects and our Delivery Partners.
- Management of the activities of multi-disciplinary project teams in accordance with project delivery procedures.
- Management of the delivery of project outputs to time, budget, quality and compliance to KPIs through planning and forecasting resource requirements.
- Coaching and mentoring others to ensure continuous improvement in a culture of accountability and achievement.
- Initiating and developing communication and good relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external, with the aim of delighting our customers
- Performance management of the service providers to ensure the out-performance of service levels and value for money.
- Achieve best practice in the safe and sustainable delivery of projects, as well as subsequent operation and maintenance.
What you should bring to the role
The ideal Project Manager would be degree qualified within an Engineering discipline and will hold a recognised PM qualification or accreditation such as Prince2 or APM. In addition;
- You will have a track record of delivering quality projects with excellent customer focus
- Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrated at all levels of the business
- Demonstrative capability with risk-based and analytical decision making
- Broad knowledge and experience in investment decisions
- Will be fully proficient at using the appropriate Company IT systems and office software with strong communication and presentation skills
- Must hold a valid UK driving licence
