This exciting opportunity will give you the chance to be a key part of our London Tideway Tunnel System Operator Team taking on controller of premises responsibility for high-profile public sites across London.

The role will be a hybrid role based on Beckton STW and will involve travel to other sites across London taking ownership and responsibility for the control and maintenance at each site. The Tideway Tunnel is a multi-billion pound project designed to prevent storm sewage from discharging to the River Thames.

The project is well under construction and will be commissioned this year. As this is closely approaching, preparation is underway to ensure Thames Water are ready to operate and take possession of the newly created sites.

What you’ll be doing as a Public Realm Site Manager

  • Coordinate and facilitate the various activities on site, including Tideway contractors, Operations, Local Authorities, and other Third Parties.
  • To be responsible for the controller of premise accountabilities and take ownership of all safety and security at each of the 13 public Realm sites including conducting inspections.
  • Building and Managing good relationships between key stakeholders.
  • Issuing permits and auditing sites.
  • Ensure sites are maintained to a high standard due to high-profile sites in central London.
  • Dealing with any customer/public issues.
  • Key point of contact for arranging/facilitating public events in those spaces.

What should you bring to the role?

  • An appropriate qualification degree preferably with  experience in a related role
  • Previous experience within the wastewater or utilities sectors is desirable but not expected. Knowledge of Health and Safety - NEBOSH.
  • Internal and External Stakeholder Management.
  • You will be a good team player, and have good analytical and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong communication skills and be willing to face challenging issues.
  • A valid driving license is essential.
