This is a role requiring water network industry knowledge. Delivering training courses both in the classroom and several practical elements working outside, using training rigs. Opportunity to be involved in the creation of new learning content. Primarily to work within the technical training team but with the opportunity to upskill for H&S delivery.

What you’ll be doing as a Technical Training Consultant

  • Ensure a standardised high level of delivery across the Thames Water campus in line with all Thames Water training delivery standards. 
  • Identify opportunities for development of existing training material in-line with changes to process, legislation, or equipment to meet the needs of individual and collective business areas.
  • Review all learning to identify possible amendments to delivery medium without impacting message or competency outcomes, working closely with the wider business, Operations, Health and Safety, L&D Managers and Design Studio to determine most favourable outcome for learners.
  • Maintain knowledge of field operations including processes, asset standard amendments and regulatory requirements, implementing any changes to training materials as required.
  • Work with key stakeholders across Thames Water to identify training needs and identify opportunities to drive trainer and competency efficiencies.
  • The ability to support the design and delivery of training as required including excellent planning and communication skills.

Base Location: Flexible base locations at one of our sites - Hybrid

Working Pattern or hours: 36 Hours

What you should bring to the role 

  • Excellent communication and engagement skills
  • Passion to share knowledge and experience while supporting the learner journey.
  • Training delivery background
  • Willingness to travel across the Thames Water region to deliver training
  • Training qualification and/or IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications are desirable
  • Full UK driving licence
