As Health Safety & Wellbeing Manager, you will support the Head of department on the delivery of Thames Water’s Health & Safety strategy and take ownership of Health, Safety & Wellbeing risks, and relevant elements of the Safety Management System.
What you will be doing as a Health Safety & Wellbeing Manager
- Work with Health, Safety & Wellbeing Senior Management to ensure appropriate implementation of the delivery plan for the geographic regions.
- Strengthen the management of investigations to ensure effective root cause analysis and implementation of preventative and corrective actions.
- Undertake site inspections, and assurance visits focusing on high and medium-risk sites to deliver the 5-year assurance program.
- Build valuable internal and external relationships with stakeholders, supply chain partners, and regulators.
- Inclusion with the ‘on-call’ Health, Safety & Wellbeing ‘24/7’ rota to ensure functional support for incident management.
- Working across Capital delivery and supporting contractors’ review.
- Producing and presenting performance packs across silos.
- Working hours: 36 hours per week.
What you should bring to the role
- Expertise relating to specific risks in Water, Wastewater and /or Construction.
- NEBOSH Diploma and have or working towards CMIOSH.
- In-depth knowledge of Health, Safety and Wellbeing legislation, and its practical application.
- Ability to negotiate flexibly and constructively at the highest levels.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
