The role is central to Thames improvement activity in Financial Customer Care and Customer Service.  You will drive the change agenda we need to make using data, and to track the things we change in measures and reports.

What you will be doing as Senior Analyst:

You will be to provide client managers with specialist information and advice related to a specific area of the business, either through regular operations or in a project environment.  You will collect (ETL), organise, visualise, analyse and disseminate data and reporting back insights in a compelling and succinct way to the business.

The scope of the role encompasses Financial Customer Care and Customer Service.  You will play a key role in reporting, tracking existing initiatives and driving incremental opportunity in our Thames financial turn around plans.

  • Providing relevant and effective operational data analysis and interpretation.
  • Giving expert advice to help influence and inform colleagues / managers on operational decisions.
  • Daily reporting and analysis, interpreting data into insight.
  • Driving key business priorities and decisions through data, supporting operational teams to make informed decisions.
  • Conduct modelling and interpretation of the company operational data, working closely with colleagues in other functions at all levels, and providing insight and challenge into the operational and process owner teams or project managers.
  • Monitoring, controlling and reporting on risk and opportunity profiles.
  • Produces consolidated reports across the Business.
  • Prepare insight from analysis of complex data to identify skills gaps or broken processes & procedures making recommendations for possible improvements.
  • Supporting other managers and departments with effective data capture for both regular and ad-hoc reporting.

What you should bring to the role:

  • Data, Analytical and Insight experience essential.
  • Ability to deal with key stakeholders within the business.
  • Previous People Management experience.
  • Previous commercial experience, or equivalent.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
  • Numerical, application experience, insight and high-level messaging capability.
  • High level of relationship management ability.
  • Strong Azure and Azure Data Factory skill set.
  • Power BI & SQL experience including PL-SQL.
  • Strong programming background including experience in Python.
  • Demonstrate aptitude for finding the unknown problems in data.
  • Be strong at statistical modelling in big data sets.
  • Have experience in using demographic and customer segmentation data sets to improve revenue, debt collection and customer experience opportunities.
  • A proven expert at tracking improvement in the things we do with data.
  • This role is Hybrid based at Walnut Court Swindon SN2 8BN.
  • 36 hours per week Monday to Friday.
