We have an exciting opportunity for a Process Controller to join us on a permanent basis at our Beckton STW.
As the successful candidate, your role will be to complete risk assessments for process-related activities. As well as utilising our systems to complete ppm/ Op plan / Mandats.
Liaising with a process controller, logging permits, and escalating accordingly. Providing support to the sludge stream manager. Identifying process improvement opportunities and being able to converse at all levels, under demanding situations.

- 38 hours per week, Monday - Friday
- Offering up to £43,000 per annum depending on skills and experience
What you’ll be doing as a Process Controller
- Support inflight reactive and planned activities while keeping Key Stakeholders informed at all times.
- Manage all reactive work by carrying out risk assessments; liaising with teams, and escalating when required. Ensuring asset standard compliance is adhered to at all times.
- Support planned activities ensuring that all enabling is completed promptly, resulting in reduced planned activities.
- Monitoring daily alarms to identify potential plant issues. Interrogate, analyse and interpret available data to make informed decisions and escalate accordingly.
- Follow and comply with company Health & Safety procedures, and auditing practices, and maintain records.
- Act as technical support for isolation; sharing information regarding process risks and other Health & Safety issues. While monitoring all alarms to ensure appropriate timely action is taken.
What should you bring to the role?
- Completion of NVQ level 2 units or equivalent experience.
- Technical C&G or HNC desirable.
- Boiler Operation and turbine/generator experience.
- Must be prepared to be trained in safety procedures including Confined Space Entry.
- Experience in a relevant industry and with experience in helping to manage or control the appropriate processes.
- Technical expertise and responsibility may require additional qualifications.
- Good practical experience in the specialist process gained in a related role.
- Fully competent at using the appropriate Company IT systems and Office software.
- Previous experience with SCADA systems would be an advantage.
- Due to the location a driving licence would be beneficial however not essential.
