Reporting to the Head of Finance for Water Operations, this role will work closely with the Water Operations team which consists of notably Water Production, Networks and Continuous Improvement areas. The key purpose of the role is to help in driving optimal performance whilst delivering the best value for money in our opex and larger pan-regional capex programme – as well as supporting pan-regions on modelling and insight.
What you’ll be doing as an FP&A Analyst
- Working with the Management Accountants (Opex) and Cost planners (capex) as part of the Monthly reporting cycle.
- Providing insightful analysis that links business performance with financial results and ensures effective commercial and operational decisions are made.
- Leading and assisting in setting a business plan that achieves all operational and financial objectives.
- Preparing and uploading budgets and forecasts for operational expenditure, measuring and understanding performance against these metrics.
- Work with other finance business partners and external parties to identify and share good practices.
- Input as necessary to all regulatory returns.
Base Location – Hybrid Clear Water Court Reading.
Working Pattern – 36 hours.
What you should bring to the role
- A Qualified accountant or qualified by experience, with strong business partnering, management accounting and ideally project/capital accounting experience.
- Not afraid to challenge and influence key decision-making.
- Possess strong analytical, presentation and IS skills, including SAP, Excel and Power BI.

- Accounting qualification.
